Te Puarangi
Meth Harm Reduction
Welcome to Te Puarangi
We are a kaupapa Māori, whānau-centred service for people living in Muriwhenua who are wanting help with methamphetamine.
What is Te Puarangi?
Te Puarangi is a kaupapa led by Te Hiku Hauora focusing on meth harm reduction with a mana‑enhancing, whānau‑centred approach

Understanding Meth Harm
Meth is the problem, not our whanau.
-
Meth use often comes from a place of trauma, pain, stress, or feeling disconnected.
-
For some people, it begins as a way to cope or get through hard experiences.
-
While it may seem to help at first, meth can cause harm to health, relationships, and whānau over time.
-
Understanding meth harm means looking beyond blame and focusing on care, support, and healing.
